When you purchase a Kingdom Teak product, you can be assured that the best quality teak has been used in the manufacture of your garden bench, from sustainable sources. Hard-wearing and durable, your bench will last for many years. Left untreated, the honey-coloured wood will fade to a beautiful silver-grey over time. However, if you prefer the warmer tones of new teak, simply treat with teak oil annually to retain that just-purchased look.
Teak comes from the monsoon forests in the region of Laos, Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Thailand. Its extreme durability was recognised by shipbuilders centuries ago and in order to meet the increased demand for the wood, forests were planted in Africa, South America and other South-East Asian counties. Burmese teak is the common term for teak grown indigenously, and this wood has superior qualities when compared to teak from other regions.
All Kingdom Teak products are made by the finest craftsmen using mature teak which is more than sixty years old, which ensures a high level of natural oil in the wood, making your bench more hard-wearing and resistant to the elements.
